Welcome to Deschutes Midwifery

Deschutes Midwifery is pleased to offer licensed midwifery care serving Bend, Redmond, Sisters, Prineville, and La Pine.

Our services encompass the full spectrum of reproductive care. We specialize in individualized prenatal visits focusing on education and counseling and provide continuous hands-on assistance during labor and delivery, postpartum support and newborn care. Birth center care is available at Bend Birth Center.

For more information on any of these events, please contact The Birth Center at (541)749-4660. The Bend Birth Center is located on the SW corner of 4th and Franklin. These events are open to anyone regardless of their birth place or care provider. We hope to see you at an upcoming event!

Baby Signs Demonstration with Janna Eskstrom
Janna will demostrate and talk about how signing with your little one will help develop communication, social interaction and sensory development. THIS EVENT IS FREE.

Open House
Come tour the birth center and meet the Bend Birth Center team! Next Open House will be held Wednesday, January 20th from 6-7 pm.

Childbirth Education Classes
Our next childbirth education class series will be held Saturday, January 30th and February 6th from 9 am - noon for those due in the months of February, March and April. Registration required, space limited.

Birth Story Circle
Our birth story circles are held a couple of times a year. These are lovely evenings filled with birth stories, support, and love. Next scheduled birth story circle is Wednesday January 20th at 5-6 pm.
