“ Having had my first son born in a hospital, I was really looking forward to having my second baby at home.  From the very first visit with Janette, I felt very confident that I had made the right decision to have her as my midwife.  What I liked about having a midwife the most was the ability to develop a close relationship with the person who was going to help me to have my baby.  With every checkup leading up to the delivery, my concerns of possible problems were fading away.  I think that every time you think of having a baby at home, you will feel a bit scared of “what if” scenarios.  However, with Janette I felt confident in her abilities to recognize any signs of danger soon enough to be able to go to the hospital, if needed to. 

Fortunately, my delivery went great and without any complications.  As soon as I felt regular contractions coming on, I called Janette and she immediately came out to see me.  A few hours later I was a proud (and tired) mama of a little boy.  During the delivery, Janette tried to make me feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible.  It was amazing and absolutely wonderful to be at home with my husband and older son during this important event.  I loved the fact that after the baby was born, I was able to enjoy my son in the comfort of my own home. 

The whole experience was very positive and very satisfying, and having Janette as my midwife was definitely a huge part of it.  If I was to get pregnant again, I would love to have Janette accompany me throughout the process.  She is very caring and loving.  She is very safe and cautious, and most importantly she is always there for you and your baby.  Janette, thank you for everything! ”
